Hello I’m Ivan Ebejer. Welcome to my webpage where you can find a collection of my photographic work.

My passion for photography started when I undertook the challenge to direct a short movie of a story I had written. With a limited budget, I figured that buying a DSLR to shoot the short would be just about what I could afford.

Until then, I was more of a motion rather than a stills person. I reasoned that learning the fundamentals of photography would be useful for my small film project. Little did I know that owning a photo camera would ignite in me a passion for still images.

My interest in photography was galvanised by my other two life-long passions – cooking and storytelling. In photography, I found a fantastic means to capture my food creations and prolong their existence long after being consumed. My love for story-telling, on the other hand, helps me with the rather challenging task of providing the soul to and breathing life into my pictures.

The food-photography-storytelling triad serves as a channel through which I express my creativity. It follows that my focus is on food, lifestyle as well as travel photography. In most of my photos, I use natural light which I believe is the best source to bring out the subject’s beauty. My fascination with the Old Dutch Masters’ paintings makes chiaroscuro my preferred photographic style.

This website is still in its initial phase but new features will be continuously rolled out in the weeks and months ahead. So make sure to return often to discover new material.
